We URGENTLY need an Academic Associate (English/ELT) in my department/centre at Indian Institute of Management Kashipur. We will have a Walk-In interview on 31 AUG 2015, Monday (to be confirmed) at 10 AM for the positions of Academic Associate at the Centre of Excellence in Public Policy and Government, IIM Kashipur. Venue of the interview: Conference Room, Indian Institute of Management Kashipur, Bazpur Road, Kashipur, Dist. U S Nagar, Uttarakhand. It is an excellent opportunity to work in one of India's most reputed brand of institutes and it is expected that an Academic Associate will be exposed to best to teaching and research environment in the Institute and be ready to take up regular higher academic positions. Specific details are given below:
Job responsibilities: Academic Associates (AAs) shall assist the faculty in teaching and research related activities.
Required qualifications: A post-graduate in English/Mass Communication or in related area is qualified to apply. A good academic background, M. Phil/PhD scholars from reputed institutions will be given preference. The candidates are expected to be excellent in English language, specially writing, and basic internet skills.
Remuneration: Academic Associates will be given a stipend of Rs. 20,000/- to Rs.30, 000/- per month depending on qualification, experience, merit, performance in the interview/test. Support will be provided for attending one national conference in a year. There will be opportunities for working with other funded projects in the center that will attract additional remuneration. Women candidates will be provided support in getting safe and secured accommodation near the campus.
Duration: Appointments will be made purely on contract basis for a period of one year initially and renewable annually (max 5 years).
Age: Preferably below 35 years.
Selection process: Selection will be based on the performance during the walk-in interview. Candidness are encouraged to appear in person for the walk-in interview. In exceptional circumstances, interview may be held through Skype Video-Conference. However, to be accepted for the interview the candidates must ensure broadband / good Internet connectivity at their end in order to conduct the interview with acceptable video and audio quality. The selected candidate should join immediately. Candidates will need to submit original documents pertaining to educational qualification and experience at the time of interview / joining.
