Maulana Azad National Fellowship for 2010-2011

Respected Sir/Mam,

This fellowship, Maulana Azad National Fellowship (MANF) is for minority students in higher studies like Rajib Gandhi National Fellowship (RGNF) for SC/STs. It comes from Ministry of Minority Affairs and comes through Ministry of HRD and University Grant Commission.

Only once the notification came and till now students have not got money in some places and there is no sign of fresh notice till now. Whereas the notification and selected list for RJNF is over long back.

We, the students of various Universities of India requesting the UGC, the Ministry of HRD and the Ministry of Minority Affairs and the Government of India to notify it as soon as possible so that the students can apply. As the academic session is going to end soon so once it is over they will not be able to apply after June.

We want to know….

Why the governing bodies are not issuing fresh notice of Maulana Azad National Fellowship (MANF)?

Is it not very sad and irresponsible behavior of the UGC and HRD?

The RGNF notification came long back and the result came too but why it is so late in case of MANF?

When Government of India has introduced the fellowship it should function in a proper way maintaining the academic year smoothly so that students can avail the facility in best way.

Only once the advertisement of it has come and till now few universities have not delivered the funds to students also.

In case of minority why government or the governing bodies are so irresponsible?

Is they are just playing with the minorities and the notification will come again in 2014 just before the election?

For details on it please see

Thank you…

Students…

(If you think that you are not right person for it then please just ignore it).

Waiting for Godot...

This world classic play originally written by Spanish playwright Samuel Beckett has succeeded in establishing the trend of Theatre of Absurd in the world dramatic literature. Two people are waiting for “Godot” under a tree on a road side. They wait, wait and wait…. And the play finished. The play speaks nothing, nor does it pass any social moral value…
But within that nothingness the truth of our life unfolds. Like Vladimir and Estragon in the play we all are definitely waiting for somebody in our life; for a ray of hope, otherwise we can’t survive. This Hindi version of ‘Waiting for Godot’ redefines the meaning of human existence and tries to search for a deeper meaning of life. Our production gives emphasis on the hidden layers of human relationship and tries to search for a GODOT who is nowhere but within our own self. Beckett's Waiting for Godot is not a play on waiting for someone; it is time to know your own self while waiting for no one. The famous absurd play in Indian context in Hindi with lots of changes...

RAW.CON 2011
Researchers At Work Conference
National Students’ Conference on Literary and Cultural Studies
20th- 22nd September, 2011
RAW.CON or Researchers at Work Conference 2011 represents a student initiative.
We, the postgraduate and research students from the Centre for Comparative Literature,
University of Hyderabad, believe that a students’ conference would be a great idea to create
an interspace for the student community. Such interspaces are valuable and would
contribute a lot in terms of discussions, exchange and sharing of ideas, interrogations and
interventions on subjects being studied and researched by scholars from universities around
the country. RAW.CON 2011 -- a three-day national students’ conference planned and
organized by students and for students with the support of the Centre and the University, is
envisioned as an annual event, starting this year.
The focus is Interdisciplinarity, urged by the need to transcend borders. RAW.CON hopes to
provide the ‘ideal’ interspace for researchers to think beyond disciplines, explore and test
paradigms, yet be rigorous and mindful of the demands of quality research. We expect that
the dynamic space/platform for emerging scholars would encourage fresh perspectives
across disciplines in India.
RAW.CON invites students and researchers from all over India for this fun-filled, three day
conference. We invite papers in the following thrust areas:
Re-cast(e)ing Literature Nations and Sub-nationalisms
Religion and Representation Gendering Language
Centering Margins New Trends in Cinema
Recollecting Histories English in Comparative Literature
Popular Culture and the Academia Identities and Beyond
Indigenous Literatures and Cultures Media, Representation and Violence
Research papers in related areas are also welcome! In addition, we invite panels on issues
of contemporary literary and cultural relevance.
Abstracts (Maximum time for a single presentation is 20 mins) may be emailed to
raw.con2011@gmail.com or snail-mailed to RAW.CON 2011, Centre for Comparative
Literature, University of Hyderabad, Hyderabad – 500046.
