Call for Papers
Dhvani a peer reviewed bi-annual e-journal published by Centre for Comparative Literature, University of Hyderabad, India, invites submissions from scholars, academics and researchers in the form of Research Papers, Articles, Interviews and Book Reviews. The work should be unpublished and not submitted elsewhere for publication.
Theme for the first issue (July 2012, 1st issue)Narration, Narrative, Narrator
Dhvani  invites papers that explore the vast interface of Narration, Narrative and Narrator in different forms, languages, literatures and cultures.  Oral literatures and literary texts being direct manifestations of narration, Dhvani welcomes papers focusing on different mediations and mediating forms of the narrative that trace the development of the oral, aural, image; speech and writing; photography, video games, cinema; historiography and scriptural writings; music and painting and so on.
Submission Requirements:
        Title of the paper: Bold, title case (Capitalize each word), centered.
        Text of the paper: Left aligned.
        References:  MLA style strictly. Instead of Foot Notes please use End Notes. Use ‘Works Cited’ instead of ‘References’.
        Titles of books: Italics.
        Titles of articles from journals and books: “quoted”.
        Articles should be submitted as MS Word 2003-2007attachments only.
        Quotations: Running sentences within quotes (in case of essays).
        Paper size: A4, Font & size: Times New Roman 12, Spacing: Double Spaced, Margin of 1 inch on all four sides.
        Words limit: around 8000 words but not less than 5000 words
        Each paper must be accompanied by:
i)   A declaration that it is an original work and has not been published elsewhere or sent for publication
ii) Abstract of the paper about 200-300 words and 4/5 keywords
iii)  A short bio-note of the contributor(s) indicating name, institutional affiliation, brief career history, postal address, mobile number and e-mail, in a single attachment.
