Graduate Research Meet 2015 aims to bring together a diverse range of interdisciplinary researchers and offer a platform to showcase innovative and cutting edge research in humanities and social sciences. The event will be organized by the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences (HSS), Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati-a center for research which includes academics and students from nine different disciplines: Archaeology, Economics, English, History, Linguistics, Philosophy, Political Science, Psychology and Sociology. The HSS department at IITG is a perfect platform to host and promote an event of this nature.
The Graduate Research Meet will run from October 28th, 2015 till October 30th, 2015 and will include a plenary lecture, paper presentations and poster exhibitions.
The primary objective of this event is to highlight the interdisciplinarity and significance of recent research in humanities and social sciences. It will also explore the varied and complex methodology which underpin such research.
This is therefore, an excellent opportunity for doctoral students to present their findings and works in progress and receive valuable feedback from peers and experts alike.
Submission of abstracts will close on July 10, 2015.
