My husband is a semi-govt employee ( in WB, school teachers are govt aided, not govt employee)and draws HRA. In that case, how much HRA can I draw? One friend says, both of us can draw Rs.6000/- (max). As a devoted Muslim, I don't want to take any HARAM earning. Please help. There is nothing Haram in taking HRA (Don't take it as Fatwa)
You take whatever you get in your part, don't loose money,
HRA depends on the city where you are living, if you are in Kolkata (Metro City) you will get 30% as HRA which means 4800 per month & if you in second rate city like Behrampure or Burdwan etc. you will get 20% means 3200 per month and if you are even smaller cities then only 10% then it is only 1600.
So, whatever you take just take it, don't take it so serious and it can't be related with religion...

I, Muphid Mohd.Iqbal Mujawar, had awarded Maulana Azad National
Fellowship 2009-10 for M.Phil (History) at University of Pune.
I received all my fellowship amount until March
2011 for my M.Phil. I submitted my M.Phil dissertation in August 2011
and given Viva on 16th January 2012. I am now awaiting for my M.Phil
result. The result was delayed because of Technical problems in
Administration. I had submitted all my four progress reports at
University of Pune and posted it to UGC as well.
I am likely getting admission for Ph.D in August or November 2012 may
be in other University.
Here I wanted your help for some information. Does I will get
continuation of my fellowship SRF for Ph.D if I register for Ph.D in
year 2012? What is process for it?

During MANF 2013-14 online Registration there was an option to "Not Yet Decided" in the field of Guide/CollegeName/University Name". It's clearly indicates that prior registration is not compulsorily. however if u apply for such scholarship prior research area and a abstract about 250 words will be require to fillup during online registration.

Yes you can. It will continue. Just submit PhD joining report, continuation certificates and other documents. No need to apply fresh.

ReplyDeleteI joined the fellowship on 1 april 2010 when I was enrolled in m.phil. my mphil viva was conducted on feb 2012. I submitted the completion document and my fellowship was closed. The employee of canara bank who deals with Manf asked me continue when I get enrolled in phd. I admitted in Ph.D in sept 2012 after 7 months. I didn't availed the fellowship in these 7 months and continued from Sept 2012. Now on 31 March 2015, officially my 5 years are over from the award of fellowship, but i haven't received completely for 60 months . Still my research is in process, can I avail fellowship of april, may, june ? Please let me know.
They have made a new rule that the gap period will be removed from the total 5 years. Its a complex matter. Talk to them and see if they allow.

My documents are all given to the Canara Bank and theyalso had uploaded.But still I do not get any fellowship......Can u pls tell by which time probably I get my fellowship? Actually I am not getting fellowship for more than one and half years and now it is very difficult to carry on my Ph.D research work without fellowship....So if u have any info pls share....

DeleteEven i had submitted my documents on 6th january which were uploaded on 19th january but have not received my felloship yet. I dont understand why thus happens only with manf scholars while others who have jrf keep getting regularly.
